DON’T SPREAD NEGATIVE MESSAGES. USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO BUILD RIGHT WORKING CULTURE IN OUR COUNTRY.

1. Work is a never-ending process. It can never be completed.

This view is foolish. Work is being done for a purpose (objective), it keeps extending or gets into next steps, obviously to address different objectives. Be proud and happy to be part of the activities of creativity instead of simply wasting your time and life, blaming the nature of work.

Be passionate of your job. If it is not, find such a job which suits your passion.

2. Interest of a client is important, so is your family.

Very true. And it should co-exist and mutually compensating. You should be able to manage both without concluding that one can be compromised for the other. Meeting client’s interest is one of the key objectives of your job and you are paid for the same. The prosperity you enjoy is due to your employment and client’s satisfaction is only part of it. Be loyal and committed towards it, for the benefit of you as well as for your family.

3. If you fall in your life, neither your boss and nor your client will offer you a helping hand, your family and friends will.

Wrong. Some of my best friends are my colleagues and one among them is my boss. Since they all know that I am sincere and do my best to help others (on work as well as on other matters) they extend help to me, even out of the way. So, the summary is that, the help or support you get when needed, from your colleagues depends on what you are (and the relationship you maintain), nothing else.

4. Life is not about work, office and client. There is more to life. You need to socialize, entertain, relax and exercise. Don’t let life be meaningless.

Two days in a week is good enough for me for socializing, entertaining and relaxing. I am free to do regular exercise if I manage my time better in a day. Also, it is not difficult to keep in touch your friends through facilities like mobiles, social media. Spending 5 days in a week for my job is justified since the job is giving me the current social status and helping me & my family to meet our needs. Having a work-life balance again depends on the individual.

5. A person who stays late at the office is not a hardworking person. Instead he/she is a fool who does not know how to manage work within the stipulated time. He/She is a loser who does not have social life. He is inefficient and incompetent in his work.

What happens when something go wrong with your personal life. Will you say that time is over and you don’t attend to it? Your job is one of the most important part of your life and attend to it with sincerity and loyalty, if you think that you are decently compensated.

Productivity and competency are important; it is one individuals choice to judge and stretch to compensate if he/she has got a lacuna. And they should be free to do so to justify the compensation they receive. Leave it to individuals, and don’t misguide.

6. You did not study hard and struggle in life to become a machine.

If you studied well, what you really wanted to study, you will never struggle in work/life. You will be passionate to produce the best out of what you have studied to create wealth for you, for your employer and for your nation. You will no more be a machine; you will enjoy your work. Find a suitable job and enjoy it instead of working like machine doing someone else’s job.

7. If your boss forces you to work late, he/she may be ineffective and having a meaningless life too, so forward this to him/her.

Unfortunately this might not have any impact on your boss, since he doing his work and asking you all to contribute because he may be passionate about what he is doing and working with positive objectives, plans and programs in mind. Please make sure that you boss is not such a person before you forward it. Otherwise, this message could demoralize him too.

Work and life are important and should be mutually compensating. One cannot be compromised for the other. Make sure that you passionate about both. And manage both wisely.

Our country is going through challenges, so our employer and we individuals too. Many countries like Japan and China became what they are today, only because of the work culture they have. If they had strictly adhered to office timings, they would not have progressed like this, for sure.

Stop spreading negative trends. Help to build the right culture in our country as a responsible citizen.
